About the House
Imagine or dream, if you dare, an Artisan's own truly Santa Fe styled oasis perched on Magic Mountain with views over lakes, oceans and rain forest.
North facing and set on 25 acres of fully private forest and only 3 minutes to Australia's best beaches and only 3 hours drive north of Sydney.
This is no ordinary house. It's more a mix of a movie set, rural resort, hacienda and art gallery. The living area of this hacienda is a massive 700 sq m, so plenty of room and privacy - even with up to 16 people staying.
Rooms consist of:
4 luxury queen bedrooms, all with views;
1 gypsy caravan with double bed and view;
1 bunk room with 1 bunk bed and 1 single bed;
1 day bed and a sofa bed;
5 full designer bathrooms - 2 with baths;
2 large kitchens, including stainless commercial stoves and even a wood stove for winter, dishwasher, ice maker fridge, microwaves, etc...
The hacienda boasts 3 lounge rooms with views. The main lounge is 120sq m with views over the ocean to the east and the lake to the north. The floor of the house and verandahs (which encircle the hacienda) are polished sandstone. The sandstone continues out to include the covered pergola, 11m pool and cabana. All these areas have views, fantastic lighting and music system, fully outdoor entertaining area, fridge, large BBQ... All this is set amongst avocado, banana, mango, tropical apple, bay tree, grape vine, herbs, and adds to the experience.
Extensive gardens surround the grounds of the hacienda with a variety of large palm trees, tree ferns, elk horns, fruit trees, natives, exotics, a large collection of cactus and succulents, and huge grassed areas to play on.
With ponds and dams surrounding the house, and all that greenery, makes it a bird lover’s paradise - blue wrens regularly enter the kitchen looking for crumbs and will happily browse around your feet!
Take a walk along the private walking track that circuits the rain forest or venture into the rain forest gully itself and discover the variety of wildlife and giant trees that abound there.
With the ponds, dams and potted cactus plants surrounding the house and leather furniture and antiques throughout the house, parents need to consider the suitability of Indigal for toddlers and small children.
Due to the design and nature of Indigal, there is a second small residence on the property which is used only by the caretakers and the owners. This residence does not impinge on the main house or guest’s privacy.
Indigal Weekends: Due to the popularity of Indigal on weekends (2 nights - Friday & Saturday), during non holiday times and where possible, a weekend booking at Indigal comes with a late check-out!!! - This ensures you a great weekend away (late checkout applies when we have no back to back bookings and is not available during school holidays).
